XQAND - Network Video Platforms

Complementing the SeSys IP CCTV camera products is the XQAND range of video storage systems. Designed to work with Mobotix IP cameras specifically, the XQAND video storage systems deliver premium grade storage based on a long standing of expertise in the storage solution business. The XQAND video storage systems enable simple setup of the cameras from recording and management of the camera from the video storage itself. This is achieved using a single interface to quickly configure a network of cameras. All XQAND models have the ability to perform a self-monitoring function that can automatically send a message as soon as a problem is detected with any camera or the storage system.

XQand video storage solutions are designed to do just that. Unlike NAS devices that provide many features and functions that are not required and can impair the performance of the unit. XQand’s ground up design provides a robust and stable video storage platform which is dedicated to IP CCTV recording.

Camera Configurator

It is possible to manage multiple cameras in camera groups and assign access rights through simple drag and drop. In a simple example you could define two groups, i.e. ‘cameras outside‘ and ‘cameras inside‘. Each camera group has its own share on the system and is configured independently. It is also possible to assign a specific IP range to a camera group, which is used as a default.

Camera Home Monitor

The camera monitor shows the real time status of any system cameras. This allows the user to get a complete, system-wide overview in an instant. This overview does not only include the camera type and recording path, but also very specific status messages of each and every camera. Error codes such as ‘mount failed‘ or ‘lost events‘ are directly transferred to the system and shown on the overview right next to the camera.

Camera Status Monitor

The maximum number of cameras that can be installed on any unit is dependent upon the total specification of all cameras connected to the network and the system-wide requirements. The new Camera System Monitor allows the installation of the maximum number of cameras, based on the actual camera settings rather than an estimated number. The operator can instantly check system loading via a simple graphic and see if additional cameras can be included.

Network Video Platform Model Overview

XQAND video storage systems have an optimised operating system and use the best hardware available. All video storage systems have at least 2GB of RAM and server processors to maximise performance. All video footage is stored to a robust and flexible RAID subsystem and enterprise hard drives for 24/7 reliability. All QXAND Network Video Platforms support between and 36 1TB, 2TB, 3TB or 4TB hard disk drives. The exception is the Baku which features 1 1TB HDD or 500GB SSD The Swift D is designed to be placed in an office, while all other models are Rackmount.

Baku

The smallest video storage system caters for the recording requirements for up to 5 cameras. A small form factor, quiet running and a choice of HDD or SSD make this an excellent choice for all low camera count systems.

Swift

Available in both Desktop and Rackmount versions, with a capacity of 4 hard disks, supporting 25+ cameras.

Raven

A choice of 1U and 2U Rackmount NVP, giving a capacity of either 4 or 8 hard disks, supporting 50+ cameras.

Eagle

The XQAND family flagship is designed on maximum I/O performance based on 12, 24 or even 36 hard drives. All Eagle systems can be attached to the camera network through up to 4 Gigabit networking ports. Professional Port Aggregation (LACP) according to IEEE 802.03AD prevents bottlenecks.
